It's the site of thousands of inventions and innovations, helping earn Birmingham its reputation as the City of a Thousand Trades. Today, around 700 businesses still produce 40% of all UK jewellery here, and in 2025 the Jewellery Quarter was named a World Craft City, one of only eight in Europe.
