DEAD BAR is a multidisciplinary project by Ridlaa (Thomas Tyrrell) combining photography, film, and installation to reimagine Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter from an ant-like perspective. By shifting scale and viewpoint, the work transforms familiar streets and architecture into immersive, unfamiliar landscapes.
Blending lens-based media with installation, the project explores how visual storytelling and changes in perspective can reshape our experience of place, inviting viewers to look more closely at the environments they think they know.
