Friends of Key Hill & Warstone Lane Cemeteries

The Friends of Key Hill and Warstone Lane Cemeteries support the preservation and restoration of two of the Quarter's biggest green spaces through fundriaing, guided tours and litter picks.

About the group

Working to protect our historical cemeteries

The Friends of Key Hill Cemetery was established in 2004 by a small group of people, concerned at the deterioration  of the cemetery and alarmed at the potential loss of an important part of Birmingham’s Heritage. In 2009 Warstone Lane Cemetery was included, combining both the Jewellery Quarter Cemeteries.

Since our launch in 2004  Friends of Key Hill Cemetery & Warstone Lane Cemetery has been working hard and caring for the cemeteries and raising funds for grave restoration.  This is achieved by membership, guided tours, sales, open days & history fairs.

We help people trace their family history and locate graves, using out burial index and grave plans. If you are unable to visit, we are very happy to supply a photograph instead. Please visit the website to help you with this.
