We’re looking for a Front of House volunteer to help support Precious Gems Film Club, our volunteer-run, not-for-profit community cinema in the Jewellery Quarter.
This is a hands-on role that helps screenings run smoothly and gives people a warm welcome when they arrive. It includes setting up the space before each screening, such as arranging chairs, tables and handouts, setting up new events on our online ticketing system, and taking tickets on the door while welcoming guests.
It’s a great role for someone friendly, reliable and happy to help create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. You do not need any special experience, just a willingness to get stuck in and be part of the team.
All volunteers attend as many monthly meetings, usually on Wednesdays, as they can and help out at monthly screenings regularly. All volunteers get to submit film suggestions to our selection list and join in the discussion about what films we should show next. We will share our knowledge gained so far with you when you join, so you won’t be in at the deep end.
As a thank you, Front of House volunteers receive free tickets to screenings.
