A session to develop a planting plan for the Golden Square - brought to you by Birmimgham TreePeople and the JQ Neighbourhood Forum.
Through surveying and engagement, we’ve been told that people would like to see more trees on the Golden Square – to bring additional shade to the area, enhance how it looks and mitigate against pollution.
We want to involve you in deciding which species to plant as well as where and how to plant them.
This will be an exploratory session to consider the area as it is today, how we’d like it to be, and how trees can play a part in realising that vision.
As part of the session, we will share and present the views of those we’ve encountered as part of our research and engagement, including those of local businesses.
Golden Square will be planted in January 2027 by Birmingham TreePeople, working alongside the Refugee and Migrant Centre, local businesses and Jewellery Quarter residents.
