The JQ Festival is back, bringing a full day of activity, entertainment and celebration to the Jewellery Quarter. The festival showcases the neighbourhood’s independent spirit, creativity, heritage and culture, with live music, food and drink, guided tours and special events taking place across the area.
We’re looking for friendly, practical volunteers to help make the day run smoothly. This is a great opportunity to support the Jewellery Quarter community, meet new people and be part of one of Birmingham’s most exciting local events.
Volunteer roles may include helping with event set-up and pack-down, welcoming visitors, guiding people between festival locations, answering basic questions, and supporting the event team throughout the day.
You do not need previous event experience. We’re looking for people who are reliable, approachable and happy to get stuck in. Whether you can help for part of the day or stay longer, your support will make a real difference.
This role would suit someone who enjoys community events, likes meeting people and wants to support the Jewellery Quarter. It is ideal for volunteers who are friendly, dependable and comfortable helping with practical tasks on a busy event day.
The main volunteering day is Saturday 11 July. Exact shift times will be confirmed with volunteers closer to the event.
Volunteer roles are open to anyone over 18.
