We are the designated Neighbourhood Forum for the Jewellery Quarter: a community organisation made up of local residents, and stakeholders who care about the area’s future. We’re democratic and accountable, with annual elections and an open invitation for people to get involved.
Four times a year we host Open Forums where we invite councillors, the police, and other organisations to hear what matters locally, discuss issues face-to-face, and agree shared priorities. These meetings help keep decision-makers connected to real experiences on the ground, and they help the community stay informed, organised, and heard.
We also apply for grant funding to setup community groups, organise campaigns and run community projects. We're responsible for the local Green Fingers Group, Precious Gems Community Cinema, Polish the JQ Litter Picking Group and for successful campaigns like reopening the Islington Gate Bridge.
Everything we do is powered by volunteers. The Forum is the group of people who built this website and helped create the projects it supports. If you would like to get involved with the Forum, or want to setup your own community group, get in touch and we can support you.
